Job Description | We are looking to appoint someone to the exciting and challenging role of Volunteer Development Officer. This project is delivered in partnership by a variety of partners including Sport England, Joseph Whitaker School Sports Partnership, Newark College, sports development team and local clubs. You will report to the project steering group and will be responsible for recruiting, training and mentoring hard to reach individuals aged 14-19 through a programme of sports leadership and coaching awards, promoting volunteering in the community and lifelong participation in sport and physical activity. The role will utilise sport and physical activity workshops and courses to help improve the skills, behaviour and attitude of young people, providing opportunities to gain qualifications and experience in sporting environments. With at least two years experience of planning and delivering activity for young people, you will be self motivated, have achieved a Level 2 NGB Award and be an experienced Sports Leaders |
