Summer Camp USA is an opportunity for those who are passionate about sports to spend 9 weeks looking after children and supervising them during activity sessions.

Spending a summer working on a children's summer camp in North America is a great way to explore a different lifestyle, enjoy lots of sunshine and gain valuable job skills.  BUNAC offers many and varied placement opportunities mainly on US, but also Canadian camps. Coaching opportunities include teaching mountain biking, pioneering, football, horse riding, swimming, sailing and golf or even arts and crafts, music or nature. You must be over 18 years old, available to travel by 23rd June 2009, have experience of working with children and be enthusiastic!

BUNAC individually places applicants on summer camps according to their preferences, skills and experience.  For the role of an instructor, applicants should be energetic, highly enthusiastic and skilled in the sport with experience of working with children in a leadership position.

The cost of participating on Summer Camp USA in 2009 is £287 which includes full support from BUNAC, a return flight to the USA, comprehensive insurance and free food / accommodation whilst on camp.  A minimum in-hand salary of $985 or $1215 (if over 21) is paid at the end of the summer, which most participants put towards post-camp travelling.  Anyone that is interested will need to book a regional interview and complete an online application form - both of which can be done by creating a free online account.

You can apply to work directly with children as a camp counsellor through Summer Camp USA, an experience that gives you the opportunity to do something you love everyday! For further information please visit the BUNACwebsite or call on 020 7251 3448.
