The Shape Up Notts! Workplace Challenge, sponsored by GMB Union, has now ended and the winners of the 'Fittest Business in the County' are as follows:

Highest total number of points:
1. Wilson Organisation - 2,154,515 points (59 members)
2. Clinphone – 1,619,159 points (79 members)
3. Mansfield District Council – 878,671 points (33 members)

Highest average number of points:
1. YMCA Health & Fitness – 150,172 points each (4 members)
2. Ridewise – 113,658 (5 members)
3. Oaktree Leisure Centre – 41,966 (5 members)

Congratulations to the winning businesses who will receive £2,500 each to spend on health and fitness in their workplace. The second and third places will receive personal training sessions with Nick Dunn Fitness and white water rafting at Holme Pierrepont.

A total of 73 businesses took part in the Workplace Challenge which ran from the start of May to the end of October. Over 10 million points were logged which equates to one person running round the world three and a half times! Well done to everyone that has taken part.

Important Points

Sport Nottinghamshire reserve the right to check the authenticity of points logged for the workplace challenge.
Individuals must be employed by a business to have their points assigned to that business
Workplaces must have a minimum of three people in the group to qualify for the highest average points competition
Only points scored between 1st May 2008 and 31st Oct will count for the workplace challenge
The competition is open to all UK workplaces
The two first prizes of £2,500 must be spent by the business on fitness and health initiatives for the organisation
